According to the New York Times, math is the most hated subject in high school. Many find math hard, as numbers make people feel uncomfortable. But other people find math easy, so they must struggle in another subject, right?
Karla Luna (9), said “chemistry and physics” are the hardest classes in school.
Chemistry was a common answer as Ashton Coffey, a freshman, also said that chemistry was the hardest subject for him.
Some students believe that the hardest classes are those that require them to beat metal with a hot hammer. Ayden Robbins, a freshman, said that welding is the hardest class at Mount Vernon
Students are not the only ones who struggle. Even teachers find some classes difficult. Mr. Gordan, an Algebra teacher said, “AP government and any third-level language” were his hardest.
Jayger Stuttle, (10) said, “Well, it depends on the grade. As a freshman, I would say that English or algebra were the hardest classes.”
Nashtash Wheat, (11) said, “Geometry is pretty bad.”
So, what some find easy, others will find hard. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and that is nothing to be ashamed of. If one struggles with something, one should ask for help.
