Stickers are great ways to decorate one’s favorite objects, such as phone cases, folders or notebooks. But they can be expensive to buy off Amazon and sometimes are not the preferred design. This is a step-by-step guide on how to make stickers.
Items one will need include wax paper, clear tape, preferably packing tape, scissors, paper, and one’s choice of drawing utensils.
For starters, make the designs that are desired. Use the paper and drawing tools to make it.
Next, lay the wax paper out and stretch out the tape enough so the design can be completely laid out over it. If needed, connect two pieces of the tape to fit the paper on it. There will be two layers of tape on top of each other. This first layer will be adhesive to the sticker.
Once completed, put tape over the top This is where it can get tricky. Place the tape so that it is at least a centimeter off around the sides of the paper. This will be the part that sticks the sticker. Also, be sure to leave a section on the bottom layer of tape still open, so there will be two layers of tape. You will end up pulling the bottom layer off. That will help peel the sticker off the adhesive easily.
Take the scissors and cut around the sticker. When getting to the part that has just the adhesive, cut around it so it becomes a tab.
Finally, peel the tab off the sticker and put it on the desired place and it is done. Here are some finished examples of some that I made. Have fun making this new craft.
