In the last couple of years, people have been getting back into records. Records, also known as vinyls, were first officially made in 1860; however they were then circular tubes, not discs like the records that are known now.
Records have gone through many changes. They have not always been the standard twelve inches that are seen today. Around 1948 is when they started to adopt the twelve-inch form as compared to the smaller nine-inch vinyl.
The way records are played has changed drastically in the past decades. In 1925, the first electric record player was invented. Additionally, sometime during the 1900s, is when they adopted the new system instead of the old phonograph that used to be used.
The reason records have come back recently is that musicians are making vinyl more fun by adding colors. They also add posters and other items on the inside when the buyers first open the record. For example, the newly made, Bewitched album the Goddes edition on vinyl has a board game in it. Lots of people like to collect variations like Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” and her new “Tortured Poets Department” and that makes people want to collect more and more of the variations because of their differences.
In all, it is good that, in recent years, records have become more popular and that people have started getting back into collecting them.
