When someone typically thinks of the word alien, they might think of a little green guy with big black eyes or someone just like them, but from a different planet. Well, various parts of the world have different versions of what an alien is to them.
In the United States, aliens are commonly seen in movies, from creatures wanting to destroy Earth to those who just ended up stranded on Earth.
In Australia, though, many weird alien stories exist, such as the 1966 Westall sighting. According to Red Bull.com, a group of students reported a silver flying object with a round top in the sky. The children reported that the grass was burned when they went to look at where the flying saucer was and that the grass had almost been “boiled.”
However, in France, aliens are part of their lives. They have the biggest space agency in Europe and a team that hunts after UFOs. France is the only country with a full-on state-run UFO department. The team’s name is Geipan, a French acronym; “Groupe d’Études et d’Informations sur les Phénomènes Aérospatiaux Non-identifiés” is what it stands for. But, in English, it means “Unidentified Aerospace Phenomenon Research and Information Group.”
Aliens are well-known in the world. For some, it might just be a superstition or a belief one follows.
