Spoiler warning for people who have not watched “Helluva Boss” yet.
“Regular Joe” is placed last because I am not a fan of how it gives off a “boy band” vibe. The lyrics are catchy, but the song feels too cheesy. The only thing I liked about the song or the whole episode in general is that Millie is happy she finally gets the attention of people, even though she is in her “human” disguise, Millard.
“Everybody Look At Me!” is ranked at 22 for the same reason “Regular Joe” is placed so low. The whole point of the song is meant to be a sing-along song, but it feels too “campy.” It does fit the scene though since they are at a summer camp. Moxxie’s “human” disguise, Moxxine, is funny to see in the episode though. The way he is trying to get everyone’s attention, but them getting annoyed and them preferring Millie as her “human” disguise Millard, is funny to me.
The song itself has a good rhythm to it, but it has forgettable lyrics and gets old quickly. It feels like a one-and-done song. It is not something I would listen to if I had to choose between this song and others.
Personally, this song is ranked at 20 because the Cherubs, specifically Cletus, made me so mad. I believe the song itself is cute in a way, but there are just better songs in the show.
“Loo Loo Land” gets old quickly. This song is ranked this low for the same reason the “C.H.E.R.U.B Jingle” is ranked low. I am not a fan of RoboFizz at all, although I am a fan of Fizzarolli. Also, this song gets repetitive after a while.
“Oh Millie” is an adorable song, but I am not a big fan of the sound effects added to it. If Millie had actual lines in the song rather than adding to Moxxie’s lyrics, this song would have been ranked higher.
“Cotton Candy” is a song I did not expect would be ranked this low. I love the rhythm of this song and will defend it against people who say they hate the song for saying cotton candy too much. The whole point of the song is to get tired of hearing “cotton candy.” The reason of getting tired of hearing “cotton candy” is because it is supposed to represent the sin of gluttony. Beelzebub as a character is amazing and I love her design.
Although “House of Asmodeus” is not one of my favorite songs, it is still a great one. It is definitely one of the more popular songs in the fan base though. The fact people do not like Moxxie’s part hurts me since it is so cute that he is able to get that dinner reservation and perform on stage for Millie.
Similarly to “House of Asmodeus” this song is a popular one within the fan base. The song itself is amazing, originally being a fanmade song by PARANOiD DJ, that eventually became an official song in the show. This song just did not stick to me like how it did to others, although it is emotional.
This song made me happy when I heard it for the first time. It really showed how dedicated Glitz and Glam are to win against Fizzarolli. The part where the announcer says “But what’s this? Hits Fizz in the face! He takes the cake and he eats it too, he’s hungry to win and he’s covered in goo,” made me like this song.
The “I.M.P Jingle” is way more catchy and easier to memorize than the “C.H.E.R.U.B Jingle.” The song also felt like an actual commercial, which made it more entertaining to watch. It is also one of the earliest songs, coming from the pilot episode.
Just like “Oh Mille,” this song is adorable. This song got ranked higher than “Oh Mille” because Millie joins the song and harmonizes with Moxxie. I love Moxxie and Millie’s relationship in the show and hope that in future episodes it will be shown more.
Is an amazing song and one of the more popular ones for a reason. The whole song is about Fizzarolli finally having enough of Mammon and quitting. A lyric from the song that has been stuck in my head is “Slander me, say I’ll never work in this town / but if I stick around I’ll be six more feet under the ground.” The beat and rhyme at this part of the song was pleasing to hear, because it was making way for the final part of the song.
“Striker’s Song” is such a good song. Striker’s country accent is perfect. “Harvest Moon” is one of my favorite episodes because of this song.
Each time I see the animation for this song, I get blown away by how elegant it is. Although, between Moxxie and Blitzø’s part, Blitzø’s part is definitely my favorite part. The guitar during Blitzø’s part and the way Brandon Rogers voiced Striker, Fizzarolli, and Verosika added the twist it needed to become my favorite part of the song.
When I heard this song for the first time I almost started crying. Stolas sings this lullaby to his daughter, Octavia, after Stella, his wife at the time, would not go with him to check on Octavia. This song shows how much Stolas cares about his daughter and will do anything to make her happy.
“Look At This!” is probably the best song Fizzarolli sings in the show. The way he distracted everybody while Blitzø makes a death trap and a way to escape is impressive. I am guessing that everyone is just shocked that Fizzarolli decided to start singing randomly.
“The Ballad of Striker” is such a funny song, since imps are singing the song while they glorify him. The way Stolas is just accepting the fact Striker is kidnapping him is funny to me.
I used to hate Glitz and Glam, but after hearing the song, my opinions changed. The way they are very determined to win first place in Mammon’s competition is a little too much for me, but that made the episode more fun. My favorite line from the song is “Give into temptation / take your time I’ll be patient.”
“Crooked” is such an underrated and overhated song that it makes me so mad. I feel like people are too caught up trying to fit in with the opinions of others that they are hating this song just because of it. I like “Crooked” because it shows how Asmodeus and Fizzarolli love eachother.
Chaz as a character is interesting to me and I wish he would have gotten more screen time than just one episode where he gets introduced and then killed by Crimson. The melody feels slightly off, but it enhances the song by showing how off-putting Chaz is.
“Vaycay To Bonetown” is definitely a love-it-or-hate-it song, just like “Klown B***h.” Verosika is probably my favorite character from the show just because of the song and her character design. I love how the lyrics rhyme and are easy to remember. Although I am not a fan of many slower songs, “Vaycay To Bonetown” is one of the big exceptions.
The pain and heartbreak in Stolas’ voice as he sings this made me an emotional wreck. Stolas is a character that is extremely relatable to me. I still tear up whenever I hear this song. The song is too emotional for me to care how slow it is.
Overall, “Helluva Boss” is an amazing show with great songs. The songs keep the viewer engaged and excited for what is coming next. All of the songs are unique in their own way, and deserve appreciation.
