The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race, held annually on the Isle of Man, is one of the most exhilarating and dangerous motorcycle races in the world. This year’s event, held from May 25th to June 7th, saw some of the most talented riders from around the world compete for the top spot in various categories.
The race has been held since 1907 and covers a 37.73-mile circuit around the island’s roads, with bikers reaching speeds of up to 200 mph. The course is known for its challenging terrain, including tight turns, bumps and jumps.
This year’s winner of the Superbike category was Peter Hickman, who set a new lap record of 135.452 mph on his BMW S1000RR. In the Senior TT category, Harrison took the win on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR, with a time of 1:43:56.408. This was Harrison’s first win at the Isle of Man TT, and he dedicated his victory to his late father, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
While the Isle of Man TT Race is known for its thrilling races, it is not without its risks. Over the years, the race has claimed the lives of 269 riders.
