There is a unique opportunity to intern through the Disney College Program for college students. Through this program, college students can work at any of the qualifying Disney parks “to experience, study, and create the Disney magic that is known worldwide.” This program requires students to be at least 18, to be enrolled and to have completed a full semester at an accredited US college, to have unrestricted US work authorization and to meet any individual school requirements.
For accepted students, Flamingo Crossings Village is a rooming addition for students in the program. The residence features resort-style pools and amenities. These rooms allow visitors during the day for anyone missing family and friends. The program has participants work as one of many different cast members in the parks. This includes food and beverage, retail and sales, operations, recreation, lodging and entertainment.
Participants of the program can enroll in a variety of different instructor-led classes. Most
of these classes include a look into the business side of Disney and its operations. The program gives students a unique outlook on leadership, networking and hospitality. This can help students who are choosing a service-based career path. Disney also offers time off for any students who are still taking classes while in the program.
The Disney College Program is something for students who want to get started on their career path to look into. By working for one of the world’s most monumental theme park companies, students can gain unique experience in hospitality and leadership that can help later on in their careers.
