“Ant-Man Quantumania” is the third movie about the superhero Ant-Man. The movie was made in 2023 and features Paul Rudd and Samuel L. Jackson. “Ant-Man Quantumania” was directed by Peyton Reed, who has worked on all the other Ant-Man movies. The movie made 470.2 million dollars at the Box office. The ratings of this movie were not the best, as it got a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.4/10 on IMDb.
The movie starts off with Scott, Ant-Man, walking around talking to people. All these people are shocked to see him because of the fact that most of the Avengers had been snapped away. He finds out that his daughter, Cassandra, went to jail again. After he picks her up, they go back to his house and eat dinner with Scott’s parents. The conversation gets awkward when both Scott and his mom find out that his daughter is studying the Quantum realm. She goes into their basement, where they find this satellite thing that reaches to the Quantum realm.
A flashback of Scott’s mom from when she had to live in the quantum realm is shown. She is shown fighting these creatures and then finding a man whose ship crashed. This is why she is so scared of the Quantum realm. It goes back to them all in the basement when she tells Cassandra to turn it off, but it is too late. They all get sucked into it and are now traveling to the Quantum Realm. Ant-Man and the Wasp both put on their suits to travel easier, but they get separated. Scott and his daughter are both together while the others search for each other. His mom on the other hand is scared and is trying to get his dad and The Wasp out of there as soon as possible.
Both groups run into issues on the way and are trying to find each other, that is when Cassandra and Scott encounter these creatures, but can not understand what they are saying. They drink this juice and are able to understand everyone, and this is when things start to go downhill.
The costumes that they used for this movie all fit the theme so well, it gave a futuristic feel to everything. There are so many people involved in the making of all of these costumes, I can imagine it took a lot of money. Now some of the characters in this movie are not people so they had to use graphic designers and fashion designers to come up with the outfits and their concepts.
Personally, I think this movie gets a 8/10 despite what others rate it. At some points I thought the storyline wasn’t very good or it was going by too fast. But the action and CGI was all so good and detailed. Some reviews state that there is too much CGI, but I think that it would have looked as good without it. Most Marvel fans would enjoy this movie and I think it is really good.
