Miniverse Make It Mini Review

Miniverse Make It Mini sets are miniature kits that contain instructions, pictures and everything needed to make a doll-sized food or drink. They come in palm-sized pink balls and it is like a mystery box as it does not advertise which edition is contained in the ball.

I recently was encouraged to purchase a few of these Make It Mini kits and had to hunt for them as they are so popular that they are often sold out. I ended up purchasing mine at Target for $6.99 each. There are eighteen different snacks to build and collect.

I purchased three sets that ended up being pink glazed donuts, cinnamon rolls and a pineapple smoothie. The kits have tweezers, recipes, and ingredients. The snacks all require resin which is included in the package. Resin is a liquid that solidifies into a sort of rubbery plastic. Resin is actually very bad for the environment, so I was wary of buying these kits. Most of the recipes say to wait five to fifteen minutes for the resin to set, but my kits took a couple of days to solidify.

The food was all very cute and good sized for dolls. The kits are not for children under the age of three, but I think kids should be much, much older to build these. It was slightly difficult for me and while the directions said for young children to have adult supervision, I feel that this would be a difficult craft for kids.

Overall, this was a very cute activity, but pricey for such a small amount, and it was a fun experience to assemble the kit. However, I would not personally buy them again.

Miniverse has many different mini kits and toys to choose from.
There are thousands of different collectibles from the Miniverse brand and it is always a mystery what toy is in which container.
