Rating AriZonas

AriZona: the sugary, affordable beverage collection that will probably be the cause of my future heart attack. The eccentric design of each can and the immaculate flavor within the tins make it no surprise that these refreshers are a universal favorite.

From the first flavor to ever roll from the factory line, lemon raspberry, to their newest flavor, pineapple fruit cocktail, each can has something in store for everyone. To keep it simple, I will be rating 4 flavors that can be found at most gas stations that carry the brand: Arnold Palmer, Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey, Watermelon Cocktail, and Southern Style Sweet Tea.

First, the Arnold Palmer was named after the renowned golfer who created the famous mix. The half-lemonade, half-sweet tea taste has been a classic and a go-to for lots of people since it first rolled out of the factory. It is a perfect choice for a hot summer day, as well as for a chill hangout. With its sweet base and almost bitter aftertaste, it is a universal drink for any time, anywhere. I rate it a 9/10.

Another classic that has become a poster child for the AriZona Beverage Co. is the Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey. Ginseng is a natural relaxer, though the 17 grams of sugar might counteract that effect. It is pretty sweet and the honey definitely carries the flavor, but it is a backup choice in my opinion. I rate it 7/10.

My personal favorite above all AriZonas is the Watermelon Fruit Cocktail. With its ungodly amount of added sugar and plethora of fruit concentrates, it will always be my number one choice. This drink is especially refreshing for those blistering Indiana summers. I rate it a 10/10.

Last, but definitely not least, there’s the nostalgic Southern Style Sweet Tea. A simple, yet fulfilling taste of its candy-like sweetness with an herby aftertaste is a sure way to brighten someone’s mood. An excellent flavor for a family get-together or a long-awaited reunion. It is an 8/10 for me.

For a promised 99 cents a can when you buy them in-store, each AriZona beverage has something to deliver. While this review only covers a small portion of the collection with only one perspective, there are so many more flavors to choose from with something in store for everyone. AriZona iced tea: forever a classic.
