“Spiderman: No Way Home” is the latest movie installment in the Spiderman Series. Released three years after “Spiderman: Far From Home” hit theaters, “No Way Home” was a huge hit, earning an estimated 2 billion dollars in the box office with a budget of 200 million. 

The movie was co-produced by Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It was directed by Jon Watts, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and starred Tom Holland, Andrew Garfeild, Toby Miguire, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, and Marisa Tomei. The project was hugely successful; it was released in a staggering 34 countries, and was well-received. 

“Spiderman: No Way Home” has now been re-released to theaters as an extended version, with several new scenes previously cut. These changes add up to a total of eleven minutes to the movie’s run time, adding small scenes and extending others. Peter Parker’s high school life is explored more, with high school characters getting more screen time and interactions, including in a new post-credit scene. The largest additions include mostly more time for character interactions. Flash and Betty, two of the high school students, are shown a bit more, and there are a lot more interactions between the Spider-men, including extending one scene of them talking right before the big fight at the end of the movie. There are also more discussions about smaller things, like how Peter 2 makes his own web shooters in his body rather than making them chemically, like the other two. 

Other additions included a message before the movie from the three Spidermen, who mention a thing that the audience will understand after the movie, and small jokes and scenes. A good example of one of these small but funny scenes is a scene where Spiderman stops a criminal after his identity is revealed to the public, and people on the street start arguing about whether or not he is too young, getting his age wrong and talking about him like he is not there. 

The general consensus among many who have watched the new movie and post about it online is that the changes, while minor, add quite a lot of humor, as well as even more character, to the movie. They help keep the mood a bit brighter, and add some good character interactions, especially between the three Spider-men, who the audience doesn not see interact in a very calm setting very much. 

Overall these changes, while small, have added to the movie’s charm, comedy, and interactions, and have sparked another wave of love for the already beloved fan-favorite.
