“Jurassic Park” Review

Madi Gibson, MVC Writer

Before humans, there were these great big creatures called dinosaurs. The engrossing brutes roamed the earth before their extinction 65 million years ago. The movie “Jurassic Park,” directed by Steven Speilburg, was made to entertain and inform viewers of all ages about genetic codes and evolution. This movie is one of my all-time favorites.

The movie starts by introducing some of the main characters. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler are the two main archeologists who are visiting the park with owner John Hammond. With them is Ian Malcomb, an insurance consultant specializing in chaos theory. This group starts by going on a tour of the park. On the tour, they meet John Hammond’s grandchildren, Lex and Tim Murphy.

While on the tour, one of their scientists, Dennis Nedry, is undercover on a mission. This plot twist keeps people on the edge of their seat. As Nedry is shutting down cameras, there is a major storm coming in to make situations even worse. The tour takes a major turn when one of the dinosaurs gets out and attempts to attack the children. Alan Grant, who accompanies them, saves Lex and Tim from being taken by the creature.

I recommend this film for people looking for a thriller that keeps them on their toes. The movie displays great acting and emotions throughout the entire movie. The director wanted to give an informative aspect on engineering and technology by explaining genetic evolution throughout the film. All of the characters’ great adventures come together to create an entertainment extraordinaire.
