The Ten West Theatre in Fortville is putting on a tribute to the old show “Hee-Haw.”

“Hee-Haw” aired on CBS from 1969-1992, and was comprised of comedy sketches and country music. The show was set in a fictional place called Kornfield Kounty.

Andrew Okerson, director, said, “The building director Paul Okerson got in touch with a producer that has produced the show before in other places and it is quite popular. Lots of people want to relive the 1970’s with Hee Haw.”

There were auditions for this show on August 2nd and 4th, and the 17th and 18th at 5pm.

Chelsea Roundtree, the backstage manager, said, “I will either be moving props backstage or otherwise helping actors with various tasks such as: keeping a constant supply of water in the fridge, keep backstage floors and halls hazard free, etc. or working spotlight. This is simple, but also my favorite job because it’s the only time I get to see the show on a show night. This show is about different people with different talents and acts coming together to entertain. I have no idea who I am going to see on stage and that is extremely exciting. So I guess what I’m saying is that I’m looking forward to all the new talent brought to TenWest.”
