Last May at the annual Thespy Awards, Miss Davis announced that the fall musical would be “Mary Poppins.” 

“A lot of students, including I, all really wanted to do Mary Poppins. So you can believe the excitement that went through us when Miss Davis first announced the show,” said Natalie Marchal, 11. “It is such a complex, yet fun show. I love it.”

The musical itself is based off of the original books which also inspired both of the Disney films. It is set in London in 1910 as the Banks family seek out a perfect nanny. When they lose hope, Mary Poppins shows up. The story then goes on to tell of the adventures the children and Mary go on after she becomes their nanny.
