Noble Romans, Opening/My Job

Zyaria Hatcher, MVCurrent Writer

About mid November,  I was in desperate need of a second job. So, I started aimlessly scrolling through Indeed as a last resort. I ended up coming across a hiring page for a place called Noble Romans, not even a minute away from where I live, so I jumped at the chance.

I applied and also got a few friends to apply with me. The hiring manager got back with me immediately and we set up an interview. I will not go into the boring details about it, but it was very chill and laid back, not nerve-wracking at all. I currently work there, it is a very fun job, and my co-workers are amazing. There has been some normal workplace  drama, but besides that, it is an almost amazing work place. We opened December 4th, and since then business has been steady, with Fridays being the busiest day of the week.

I was asked to work on New Year’s Eve. I said yes, thinking that it would not be busy since people would want to stay home. I was super wrong. My job is dealing with the phones and computers, so I process online orders, GrubHub, DoorDash, Slice, and I answer phones. Fortunately, it is not just me on the phones and it is usually 2-3 people. Everything was blowing up on New Years Eve. The phones were ringing off the hook, all five of them going off at one point. The online orders were printing out constantly, and then DoorDash and GrubHub were blowing up. After that day I realized that if I could get through that, then Fridays were nothing.

Sometimes when I am bored at work, I will go look at the reviews and a lot of people show love for the deep dish crust we have. Especially the works, which is like a supreme pizza with everything on it.

Noble Romans has deep dish and traditional crust pizza. We typically get more deep dish orders than traditional and they are mainly specials. We have over 15 special pizzas including:  Alfredo the Chicken, Bacon the Double Pepperoni, and Cheese Fantasia. My personal favorite is Alfredo the Chicken with extra bacon.

We are located in Mccordsville, right in the plaza next to Verizon, which is by the Meijer on Broadway. Come pay us a visit!
