The royals have left behind the royal family. Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, have decided to resign from the royal life. The announcement came after months of speculation from followers of the royal family who believed the couple would make the decision. Uproar has not been kind, but still, many support the young couple’s decision to leave behind the royal life.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married in May of 2018 in a world-wide televised wedding. Not long after their wedding, Markle gave birth to their son Archie. Now, in a recent announcement, the couple has decided to step down from their duties in the palace and raise their son in a normal setting. 

Many are upset with the young royals news. Even Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, blasted the couple for the decision.

 “She’s embarrassing me,” he said in an interview with Fox news. 

His other daughter, Samantha Markle, said Meghan failed to prevent issues with the public, such as backlash before she left.

However, many people support their decision. Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, supports their decision, saying she, worried about her daughter “grappling with the public spotlight after becoming a mother.”

No matter their decision, the young couple continues to thrive in Canada as normal citizens. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will soon begin to transfer over from their pasts to their lives now.
