Yung Gravy’s 2019 Releases

There is no better way to recap 2019 than through music. This year, up and coming artist Yung Gravy released his new album, “Sensational,” and a few singles with the artist bbno$ (pronounced baby no money). The album debuted on May 31st and very much furthered his career, as he began touring it over the summer. The album features bbno$ in “Whip a Tesla,” and Mia Gladstone, Juicy J, Pouya, TrippyThaKid, Ramirez, Lil Mayo, and Lil Baby overall. Since May, Gravy and bbno$ have released two singles.

In my opinion, “Shining on my Ex” is much  better than “Iunno,” a song that dropped the day after Thanksgiving. “Shining on my Ex” has a more comfortable groove, and the beat is more progressive. The whole song builds to the 1:30 mark, where bbno$ says, “Dude I’d be p*** off if this song blew up on TikTok.” This is the peak of the song, and of my life, considering Gravy has become a Tik Tok legend over his song “Magic,” which is featured in the “Sensational” album. I love this song, and the overall vibe it gives off.

On the other hand, I am not a fan of “Iunno.” I think that this single sounds a lot like bbno$’s single “Benihana” which features Gravy and dropped in 2017. It’s way too repetitive and quite frankly isn’t really original. Still though, I am not mad.

Bbno$ has dropped a new album this year as well, and the flow of music has really got me vibin’.
