Basketball cheer comes to an end

The basketball cheer season ended at the end of February, and many of the cheerleaders, especially the senior cheerleaders, felt they had a successful last season.

“The season went really well for my last year,” said Phoebe Spector, 12. “This past season was probably my best season. My favorite part was having my best friends end the season with me. I love cheering in general, but doing it with your best friends is ten times more enjoyable.”

The cheerleaders had many pleasant parts of the season.

“My favorite parts about cheer were getting closer with most of my friends and all the jokes we shared on the sidelines,” said Lillian Smith, 12.

Many of the girls loved being able to showcase their skills during the indoor season.

During basketball, you really get the chance to showcase your skills and stunt and tumble whenever you would like,” said Kelly Seifert, 12.

Many of the seniors have cheered for all four years of high school, and it will be dearly missed.

“I honestly will miss cheer for forever, but everything sticks with you, like all the cheers and dances,” said Smith.

The basketball cheer season may have ended, but the seniors will always remember their success in their last season.
