Drake controversy

Aubrey Drake Graham, also known as Drake, has recently created controversy with the resurfacing of a video that depicts him fondling and kissing an underage girl onstage at one of his concerts.

Since “Surviving R Kelly” was released on Netflix and has become instantaneously popular, numerous allegations against prominent individuals have come forward, as what appears to be a new extension to the Me Too movement last year.

Drake, however, has not responded to the video and has maintained his silence for an entire month. Due to his previous incidents involving young girls, such as Millie Bobby Brown, this appears to be another tarnish on his public image.

One onlooker to the incident reported this to Esquire: “He kisses her body and lightly fondles her breasts, as the audience hoots and hollers with approval. After, he asks her how old she is. When she says she’s 17, the crowd erupts in laughter—as if it’s all some kind of joke. ‘I can’t go to jail yet, man!’ shouts Drake, to amused cheers from the crowd. ‘Why do you look like that?!’ ‘Well look, I had fun,’ he continues. ‘I don’t know whether I should feel guilty or not, but I had fun. I like the way your breasts feel against my chest. I just want to thank you.’ Drake then kisses her face several times again before bidding her adieu.”

As expected, the backlash on Drake’s Twitter and Instagram accounts was very prevalent. Drake, on the other hand, will not face legal backlash for the incident, as the age of consent in Denver, where the incident took place, is 17.
