The big disappointment

Special Counsel Robert Mueller released a summary and some update documents relating to the Trump investigation.

While they were not supposed to prove anything substantial, they were just an update that gave the findings so far, people expected them to prove something. Thus they should have for the good of the investigation. Since the documents focused mainly on the payments to Stormy Daniels and other things that Cohen expanded upon in his testimony, they essentially proved nothing relating to the Russia investigation and they were really a waste of time.

In my opinion, I feel nothing released in these documents was taken seriously and Mueller just let his enemies say that he has nothing on Trump. This was a poor PR move on Mueller’s part to be sure.

The only information close to substantial was related to payoff to Stormy Daniels – and further discredited Mueller – as the public perceive his team as focusing on collusion. Payments to a porn star, even if you draw links where there are none, have nothing to do with collusion. Even though this is not the case, perception is reality, at least in the public sphere. If people believe he has nothing, then they will not listen to him if he really does have something.

I found the release of the latest documents to be a flop and it only further undermines my trust of the Mueller team. It just feels like he has done nothing for two years.
