Christmas is the holiday with the most movies. At this time of the year, there are about 700 to 800 Christmas films made.

The most popular Christmas movies are  “Home Alone,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Christmas Vacation,” “Elf, A Christmas Story,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “Miracle on 34th Street,”

“My favorite Christmas movie is ‘Elf’ because I think it is really funny,” said Campbell Shaffer, 11.

These movies help get people in the Christmas mood and provide a nice way to relax during the stressful holiday season.

“My favorite Christmas movies are ‘The Grinch’ and ‘Christmas Vacation’ because both movies are hilarious and they portray the true meaning of Christmas,” said Madalyn Mull, 12.

Christmas is the most celebrated holiday with about two billion people celebrating it, thus giving all the more reason to create more holiday films.

“My favorite Christmas movie is ‘Home Alone’ because it is so funny and there is not a moment that you are not laughing,” said Hailey Richardson, 12.

Watching Christmas movies is the second most popular activity during the holidays, with opening presents coming in first.
