An A Capella camp was put on for the incoming Locked Out members on July 23-25. The 16 new members of the group sang together, participated in bonding games, and became a little closer to one another.

“[The camp] was really fun, I had a great time,” said Cayla Flowers, 11.

The camp performed “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” for the freshman during the Freshman Orientation.

“It was such a great way to grow closer to the people I will be spending my last year of high school,” said Claire McClimon, 12.

Along with learning new music and learning to work together as a group, the members played a few games. One of the favorite games of the campers was charades, where one person would have to guess the song title that was acted out by their team.

“My favorite part of the camp was knowing that I grew closer with everyone in such a short time,” said Liam Bass, 10.

Locked Out has many performances and events planned, and this camp has helped them kick off what they hope will be a successful year.
