In a statement released late on the night of Thursday, May 17, it was announced that Dr. Shane Robbins would become the superintendent of the Kershaw County School district. He will be replacing Dr. Frank Morgan, who is retiring after over a decade of holding the seat.

Dr. Robbins has been the superintendent of Mount Vernon Community School District for the past three years, after moving here from the Monroe Central School Corporation.

The Mount Vernon School Board has yet to name Dr. Robbin’s replacement.
