Eggs, eggs, eggs

What is the difference between store-bought eggs and farm-fresh free range eggs? People believe that fresh free range eggs are healthier than store bought eggs.

Fresh eggs the yolk is more vibrant. When cooked as either scrambled eggs or sunny-side up eggs they taste fresher and looks better. They blend better into baked goods. They also just make the food taste better.

In store bought eggs the yolk is not as vibrant. They do not cook as well, or look as nice when cooked. They are less likely to blend into baked goods. I will admit that store bought eggs are definitely better if you are making a meringue as they are pasteurized.

I definitely think that overall fresh eggs are better.
