Cheer clinic

On February 11, 2017, the MVHS cheerleaders hosted a cheer clinic for students ages 3 through 5th grade. The clinic began at 9:00 am and lasted until 11:00 am; while they were there, the students prepared a routine for the Varsity basketball halftime show that evening.

The MVHS cheerleaders taught students dances, cheers, and brief stunting to help them have a better understanding of that being a cheerleader is.

“It was a great experience, the young girls had a lot of fun and learned what it’s like to be cheerleaders,” said MVHS cheerleader Jenna Nicodemus, 9. “I enjoyed meeting the kids and learning they have a passion for cheer. They worked really hard to learn the dances and cheers which inspired me to help out more too.”

The students played different cheer games and had different stations, all mentored by MVHS cheerleaders.
