Mt. Vernon High School softball players will be hosting a softball clinic for students in 1st through 8th grade. The clinic is for students in the MVCSC community who want to learn new skills and participate in fun, softball related games and drills. Some of the MVHS softball team will work alongside the girls.

Coach Kirby said the softball clinic raises money for the high school team and allows for new equipment to be bought.

She also shared, “The clinic is also a great opportunity for girls of all ages to share their love of softball. We really just have a great time.”

The clinic takes place on February 25th. First through fifth graders should check in between 8:45 and 9:00 am. It will end at 11:30 for these students. Middle schoolers will check in between 12:15 and 12:30 and will finish at 3:00 pm. For students wishing to participate there is a $30.00 fee.

Softball player, Jadan Fithian, 11, said, “I look forward to helping out and playing with the girls. It’s a good time for everyone involved.”

Sign up sheets were due February 17th, however it is not too late to sign up. A t-shirt is not guaranteed if you sign up after the 17th.
